Railways

I love travelling by train – you just sit and enjoy the view. And you fell asleep.

From London back to Frankfurt, you transit by Brussels-Midi train station. On my way to London, I did notice this green panel.

On my return to Germany, Tintin is the one who welcome passengers. He is my great hero!

One basic rule when I travel: I carry chocolate bars with me.

The Celtic one was bought in London at Holland and Barrett’s. I found the Zebra one at the organic shop based in Brussels-Midi train station. Very nice and handy shop with full of vegan products.

Now it’s time to catch my train!

Cake paradise

Let’s go to Ms Cupcake! It is a 100% vegan bakery located in Brixton in the south of London. And look at what they propose… muffins, cakes, cookies, scones… I just couldn’t choose 🙂

After several long minutes of thinking and deeply breathing, we ordered the Victoria sponge cake and a giant muffin. With a warm cup of rooibos tea. How cool life is!

Visual trick

I went to London for one week of holidays. I was so happy to see my friends, to go to my favorite veggie places and to use again my umbrella (…)!

In Covent Garden, I saw this complete surreal house called “Take my Lightning but Don’t steal my Thunder” from the artist Alex Chinneck. Just look at the pictures and try to figure out…

We then had lunch at Manna V restaurant, in Primrose Hill. This is a 100% vegan restaurant. In three words: posh, delicate and delicious! We went for the nachos, the californian plate with marinated tofu and the sausages with mash potatoes.

And because it was a very special occasion, I did enjoy this customised sticky toffee pudding.

london in wonderland

After 6 amazing years in London, it is time for me to leave the UK. My last Christmas in London… the lights, the music, the atmosphere… I am not that naive but London makes me believe in Christmas.

Once again, let’s go to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park – the biggest Christmas fair of the city. You will find stalls, food, joy… We were there just after Christmas so we avoided the big crowd. And looking around me I can tell you, am gonna miss this place. Deeply.

diner with friends

I love going to 222 restaurant – it feels home. Ben, the chef, is very friendly. I like the cooked meals but just to let you know, the menu has also gluten-free items and raw dishes.

I love the fact that the portions for the vegetables are huge – they are gently spiced and amazingly tasty.
